Information What’s Kijimadaira?
Kijimadaira Village is located at the nouthern end of Nagano Prefecture. Kayanotaira-kogen,a 300-year-old virgin beech forest,is to the southeast,and Mt.Kosha is to the southwest. It is a beautiful village,where you can experience the four seasons of Japan.
The village is fan-shaped,with Mt.Kenashi in Nozawa Onsen Village to the northeast,and Mt.Madarao and the Chikuma River in Iiyama City to the northwest.
You can enjoy an Open-air bath boasting a dynamic view,eat agricultural products such as delicious rice nurtured by the blessed natural environment, and experience traditional culture. There is a snow activity field that produced Olympian from the village. Trail running and trekking through nature are also popular.
